All your different sides are welcome here, as we believe they make our team, our products and our services, that much better\.Our Mechanical Technicians apply working technical knowledge to perform simple or routine tasks in working on various types of equipment to the component level, following detailed instructions which cover virtually all procedures\. Fabricates, tests, analyzes and adjusts precision electromechanical items using blueprints, sketches, hand tools, metal working machines, measuring, and testing equipment\. Verifies dimensions using micrometers and calipers\. Analyzes test results, makes repairs or adjustments accordingly\.Basic Qualifications:
- High school graduate or equivalent\.- Formal technical training and/or experience lengths of which are dependent on shop assignment\.- Must have knowledge and ability to perform repairs on simple electronic and simple to medium complexity electromechanical items\.- Must be able to read both electrical and mechanical wiring diagrams, schematics and blueprints\.- Ability to perform basic troubleshooting techniques\.- Understand the fundamentals of AC and DC motor theory\.- Must be able to read, write and understand the English language well enough to perform one's duties without undue degradation of one's abilities\.- A minimum of two years verifiable work history experience in mechanical and/or electromechanical repairs may be used in lieu of education\.- Applicants must be able to lift forty \(40\) pounds\.- Must be able to obtain and maintain a government security clearancePreferred Qualifications:
