Media Center of Excellence within IRI:

The Consultant of New Business, Media Strategic Partnerships will occupy a position within IRI s breakthrough, Media Center of Excellence--a newly formed business that can identify high-potential consumers online, enabling our clients to target digital media campaigns and evaluate the offline sales impact. Manufacturers, retailers, and digital agencies can more effectively target consumers and shoppers based on actual purchase behavior, analyze program effectiveness with greater precision, and leverage predictive capabilities to improve the results of future campaigns.

Media Solutions Advantage:

* Allow advertisers to improve cross-media spending within media planning based upon quantitative metrics among targeted consumer segments.

* Evaluate the impact of online advertising campaigns to determine the ROI for media buys.

* Deliver on/offline media content that maximizes the potential of reaching the right consumer

Reporting Relationship:

The Consultant of New Partnerships will report to the Principal in charge of Media CoE partnerships. The Principal reports to the President of the Media Center of Excellance.


The Consultant of Media, Strategic Partnerships will help drive the origination and execution of strategic partnerships, understand the Company s strategic initiatives and gaps and leverage their experience and connections in the agency, ad tech, media and advertising marketplace to help identify, qualify and secure partnerships that enhance competitive positioning of the MCOE s products and capabilities and drive new revenue. The individual will initiate outreach to new partners while helping to manage and maintain certain existing partnership relations.

* Ability to structure and articulate a vision of future MCOE product and service capabilities to potential partners in the digital and TV media ecosystems; collaborate with prospective partners to devise mutually beneficial relationships.

* Establish relationships with media, advertising and technology providers to facilitate solutions and business initiatives.

* Evaluate potential partners to understand their capabilities, solution maturity, and potential partnership opportunities.

* Collaborates with internal resources to identify business opportunities and solution requirements. Identify potential partners that may have desired solutions and initiate outreach and manage the evaluation to completion. .

* Draft, review and collaborate on business terms, legal documents, financial models, and business models that structure and cement desired partnership.

* Assists in the development of negotiating strategies and positions by studying integration of new venture with company strategies and operations; examining risks and potentials; estimating partners' needs and goals.

* Own and manage one or more MCOE products including product requirements, pricing, messaging and go-to-market, collateral, and revenue.

* Develop and help execute detailed and actionable account/business plans.

Skills and Competencies:

* Understanding of digital and TV ad ecosystems: Applies knowledge of the media business, advertising industry and domain expertise to identify, create and close profitable, margin enhancing business opportunities

* Operational thinking: Contribute to the development and creation of new or enhanced methods, products and/or services; approach job function with original and progressive thinking in order to improve processes, methods, systems and services

* Strategy, vision and value: Understand economics of IRI and the client to effectively manage partners and relationships, creating vision and identifying value for IRI and partners. Is accountable and tracks performance to goals on a regular basis

* Business Insights/Consulting Expertise: Provides clear, deep perceptions & recommendations regarding decisions, situations & business benefits

* Sales Strategy Development/Competitive Intelligence Expertise: Identifies accounts and opportunities to go after considering size, probability of closing, effort and other factors


In addition to the above skills set, the ideal candidate must possess the following:

* 2-3+ progressive years of experience in driving strategic partnerships and alliances and managing those relationships within an AdTech, Media Measurement, or Online, Internet-driven business model and highly analytical, measurement and effectiveness ({(} data-driven) characteristics.

* Business development and partnership development experience in a complex and/or matrixed, capability driven organization which provides sophisticated products and solutions.

* Strong partnership management skills inclusive of maintaining on-going pipeline of prospects and opportunities; client penetration development and execution; strong influencing skills; and great communication skills

* Understand and has experience with advertising technology such as programmatic, DMPs, DSPs, ad serving, audience targeting, campaign measurement, 3rd party data providers, campaign measurement, biddable media, social media, mobile, video, display and other ad technologies.

* A detail-oriented problem solver; ROI driven.

* Successful in selling ideas internally in an analytical environment involving extensive client interaction a hunger for profitability and overall business success

* Understanding of market research ({(} syndicated data, analytics, and consumer panel) and capabilities such that recommendations can be framed as relevant business solutions

* Strong presentation skills and ability to captivate the room ; large format and small format presentation skills.

* Proven management experience in a consulting/business professional environment leveraging cross-functional capabilities

* An entrepreneurial spirit able to evangelize new initiatives internally and externally.

* Manages a dynamic mix of business development and project processes, including pipeline management, forecasting, tailored capabilities presentations
