Medicaid Outreach Coordinator

Coventry Health Care's Corporate Medicaid division is seeking an enthusiastic employee to join the Community Development team as an Outreach Coordinator.Our Community Development team is responsible for sharing Coventry's Medicaid program with professional audiences as well as potential Medicaid recipients in both new and expanding Coventry Medicaid markets. In new markets most initial contacts are made through cold calls to community resources such as community and mental health centers; faith and ethnic-based social service organizations; and schools. After establishing relationships with these community partners; the corporate team transfers those relationships to newly hired local Coventry community development staff.98% of the job involves traveling to others states so reasonable home proximity to a major airport is a plus. Employees may be required to travel on very short notice and must be comfortable driving in a variety of locations; from rural back roads to inner city venues; sometimes under less than ideal conditions.The successful incumbent will posess the following qualifications for the position:-- High school degree or equivalent. Bachelor?s degree preferred.-- Previous (3-5 years) outreach experience working with the Medicaid population required.-- Previous customer service experience in a call center environment preferred.-- Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
