JOB DESCRIPTIONWe are looking for a Medical Assistant (1.0 FTE) to join the Otolaryngology (ENT) team. Preferably with at least one year ambulatory care experience in a larger, high volume setting, very familiar with electronic medical charting, and the ability to help provide an excellent patient experience.
Schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:00AM to 5:00PM (variable) at the Central Medical Center in Seattle's Capitol Hill neighborhood.
**Only applications with an active Medical Assistant - Certified or Medical Assistant - Certified Interim credential with the Washington Department of Health will be considered.**
The Medical Assistant will:
* Provide overall rooming support to the team.
* Use EMR to obtain and transmit information.
* Obtain pertinent history and vital signs.
* Give limited information/results to patients within scope of practice.
* Coordinate referrals to other specialty clinics.
* Coordinate clerical functions.
* Prepare and stock exam and workrooms.
* Maintain instruments, equipment and supplies.
Minimum: High School/GED. Graduate of accredited Medical Assistant program.
Preferred: 1 year ambulatory care experience.
Minimum: At time of hire Medical Assistant-Certified credential or Interim Medical Assistant-Certified credential. Washington State Department of Health issued credential. Interim credential expires 1 year from date of issuance. Able to obtain shortly after hire Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification or must obtain within 90 days of hire.
