The Womens Center for Pelvic Health seeks a Certified Medical Assistant who is a dynamic self starter with an interest in womens health. Responsibilitites will also include working with other office/specialities. The CMA will perform a variety of clinical duties including, gathering patient information, taking patient vital signs and working in collaboration with and under the clinical direction of the physician or provider.
Additionally, the Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) will schedule appointments and/or surgeries on a computerized practice management system as necessary. The CMA provides stellar customer service in all patient encounters whether face to face, or by telephone. The CMA works in a cooperative, friendly, and results-oriented manner with all other members of the practice staff and the Physicians.
There is reasonable anticipation that employees in this position will be exposed to blood-borne pathogens.
Requirements: High school diploma or GED required. Documentation of certification from an accredited medical assistant training program and Certification from the American Medical Assistant Association required. Minimum of one year physician office experience strongly preferred. Current American Heart Association/Healthcare Provider BLS/CPR is also required. Veni-puncture, vital signs, injections, and excellent follow-up skills are critical. Experience operating multi-line phone systems, fax machines, photocopiers, PCs, credit card machines, and other medical equipment as required by the medical practice. Regular Full-time Days
