JOB DESCRIPTION:

The incumbent works closely with the physician in the office clinical setting, assists with direct patient care, and serves as the clinical liaison between physician and patient and between physician and the office staff and offers the added skill of providing the radiology function. The incumbent is responsible for promoting communications among all care providers, patients, and office staff regarding the care plan for the patient as defined by the attending physician. The incumbent attends to patients utilizing the age appropriate principles of growth and development for patients of all ages according to the practice.

REQUIRED:

* 3 years of Medical Assistant experience is a physicial practice or urgent care center

* Without years of experience, a graduate with a diploma or an Associate Degree from an accredited Medical Assistant program OR possess a Certification or National Registry as a Certified Medical Assistant or Registered Medical Assistant.

DESIRED:

* High School diploma or GED

* Nursing or Healthcare Administration graduate with a diploma OR an Associate Degree from an accredited Medical Assistant program

* Certified Medical Assistant desired: Certification or National Registry as a Certified Medical Assistant or Registered Medical Assistant.

SCREENING REQUIREMENTS: DRUG SCREEN, BACKGROUND CHECK, LICENSE AND EMPLOYMENT REFERENCE VERIFICATION.
