Summary of Job Duties
(Note: This summary will be used for keyword search) Under the general supervision of the Clinical Managing Director, provides medical and administrative support to the physicians, physician assistants and nurse practitioners, assisting with exams and procedures, filling out necessary paperwork, taking phone messages and running errands as needed.

Minimum Requirements
High School diploma and 1 year of experience as a medical assistant or an equivalent combination of training with a medical assistant certification.

Other Special Conditions of Employment
This is a 10 month per year position. Furlough taken during quarter breaks and summer months.

Student Health requires all clinical staff successfully pass the background check and complete the credentialing process before the start date.

Any HIPAA / FERPA violation may be subject to disciplinary action.

Work hours include Thursday evenings from 10am - 7pm.

Student Health is closed between the Christmas and New Year's Day holidays.

Greets patients, takes vital signs, and prepares patients for exams and special procedures. Assists clinicians during exams and special procedures.

Fufills clinician orders such as wound cleaning, dressing changes, suture removal, fitting of a variety of orthopedic appliances, ear lavages, giving immunizations or medications, etc.

Responds appropriately in emergency situations as well as with distressed patients.
