The Medical Billing Clerk will be responsible for performing data entry, answering patient questions regarding claims/bills, and providing customer service over the phone and email. Knowledge of medical terminology and claims is highly desired. This is a busy and fast paced environment with long term opportunity for growth. Job responsibilities:
?Provide 'Extraordinary Care' to patients and customers through friendly, caring, courteous, and professional services
?Facilitate resolution of patient accounts by working with insurance companies, government agencies and patients in the payment for services that have been provided
?Respond to questions, research discrepancies and insurance denials following company policies and procedures to minimize uncollectible accounts
?Mail patient statements and insurance claims forms
?Answer phone calls from patients regarding bills
?Call Patients regarding their past due bills
?Interface with our back office project managers

Minimum Requirements
?High school diploma or equivalent
?Computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word)
?Two or more years of customer service and/or medical claims experience
?Ability to work independently
?Demonstrated interpersonal skills in order to communicate effectively with patients, visitors, etc.
