Well Known company looking to hire a Medical Claims/Data Entry Clerk Needed.

Bilingual Spanish is a plus!

DUTIES: The Medical Claims Assistant supports the tracking of incoming work and monitoring of claims volume to enable the department to maintain the processing standards necessary for regulatory compliance. Responsibilities include processing incoming mail, keying claims into the Managed Health Care (MHC) system, verification of member eligibility using the MHC and/or Medi-Cal Automated Eligibility Verification System (AEVS), maintaining department inventory claims reports on Excel spreadsheets, photocopying/mailing correspondence to internal departments, Plan Partners, providers, PPGs, members, and other parties on a daily basis, maintaining the department filing system, answering phone inquiries, providing clerical assistance to the department as needed, and ordering supplies. Supports scanning/OCR process and executing Director's decision on workloads and department priorities.

Prior experience working with Medical Claims and Data Entry. Minimum education of a High school graduate. Some college preferred. Minimum of 2-3 years experience in a data entry and clerical position, health care environment preferred. Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), strong data entry and filing skills, professional telephone manner, excellent communication skills, and strong customer service orientation to both internal and external customers. Must be dependable and able to prioritize and accomplish work without supervision. Must enjoy working as part of a team.
