Medical Device Product Manager 9/6/2016
The Alpine Group
JOB DESCRIPTIONAPPLY STRATEGIC CHALLENGE. POSITIVE CORPORATE CULTURE.
In the beautiful surroundings of the Pacific Northwest an emerging medical technology company is expanding its commercial organization and needs a marketing professional to help take them to the next level. This well-established, profitable organization has enjoyed double-digit annual revenue growth for the past four years. Although smaller than their multinational competitors, their R&D teams are extremely innovative and their products offer significant clinical advantages over existing therapies. They have an exciting work environment where their relatively small teams have unusually strong personal chemistry. The last two marketing professionals we've placed here have been promoted to leadership roles, so there is a great deal of opportunity for growth and development. If you're looking for an opportunity to help build something that will last - to apply your marketing skills to a business model with a huge upside potential - then we would like to hear from you.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Product Manager will have the opportunity to plan and execute marketing strategies for a line of innovative medical devices. The role consists of roughly 70% strategic planning, working with Key Opinion Leaders, sales leadership and R&D to create a roadmap for the future product offerings and target markets. You will plan and execute the launch of new products and manage the product lifecycle of in-line brands to which you've been assigned. Specific duties include developing annual and long-term strategic plans, assessing competitive strengths and weaknesses, segmentation, positioning, branding, and supporting the sales team.
This is a broadly defined assignment where you will be asked to "wear many hats" and your responsibilities may vary greatly from day to day. In addition to developing the strategic plan for your assigned products, you will also work closely with cross functional team members from Sales, R overnight travel is estimated at 25%.
The successful candidate will have:
* 3+ years of HQ based marketing experience in the implantable Medical Device industry
* Evidence of strategic marketing and successful product launch experience
* Strong leadership skills and ability to mentor junior colleagues
* Bachelor's degree or better; MBA or advanced engineering/life sciences degree preferred
Candidates must also have the desire to work in a small, entrepreneurial company that - although backed by a highly profitable parent organization - does not have the deep resources, managerial layers and trappings of Fortune 50 organizations. Employees are given opportunities to excel, and they are held accountable for their work. Due to the growth, significant opportunities exist for career development and advancement.
A highly competitive base salary and an industry-leading annual incentive program is provided, along with a comprehensive benefits and relocation package. If you are a self-starter who enjoys the challenges and rewards of working in a technical, high-growth market, and if your background matches these qualifications, please apply.
