Job Description

Job Description: The Medical Director of Digestive Diseases (MDDD) of WVU Healthcare serves as the primary physician executive with the leadership responsibility of directing clinical services related to diseases of the digestive system for WVU Healthcare. The MDDD is responsible for access, quality, growth, coordination, and fiscal soundness as related to clinical services involving gastrointestinaldigestive diseases. The MDDD will lead and direct WVU Healthcares pursuit of the highest possible standard of patient care and clinical effectiveness. Qualifications: Board certified by an American Board of Medical Specialties board that pertains to diseases of the digestive system. Internists and surgeons encouraged to apply. Applicants must hold or be eligible for a medical license in the State of West Virginia. Minimum of five (5) years experience in an academic setting with administrative experience preferred. Location: With a metro area population of over 115,000, Morgantown is consistently rated as one of the best small cities in the U.S., with affordable housing, excellent schools, a picturesque countryside, many outdoor recreational activities, and close proximity to major cities, such as Pittsburgh, PA and Washington, DC.
