span We are currently searching for a medical office receptionist. In this position you will be performing a number of duties, including greeting and scheduling patients and visitors, bookkeeping, calling patients to remind them of appointments, handling billing, answering and routing calls, making transactions, and keeping paperwork organized. Bilingual is preferred. This is a Temp-to-Hire position in the Denver Metro paying $13-$15/hr. br   br B Responsibilities and Duties: /B br ul
li Answer the telephone in a courteous and professional manner within 3 rings /li li Receive and convey messages in writing, verbally and electronically /li li Make appointments following preset scheduling rules /li li Fax documents /li li Scan documents /li li Prepare documents for mail-out /li li Open and distribute incoming mail /li li Assist in routing telephone calls and messages to the appropriate clinical staff /li li Collect copayments at each patient encounter /li li Checks and Transcribes demographic information from the patient intake sheet to their electronic medical chart to ensure correct demographic information on each patient /li li Communicates with providers effectively about patient and scheduling conflicts (i.e. double-booking, rescheduling, follow-ups with a different provider) /li li Verify insurance eligibility, obtain Medicaid referrals, and assist patients with hardship program application /li /ul

li Excellent communication and interpersonal skills /li li Excellent ability to multitask /li li Attention to detail /li li Due to the nature of the job, needs to take detailed messages that are forwarded to the right staff member with all correct information /li li Vitally important that all demographic data is entered into each patient’s medical record correctly /li li Bilingual (Spanish speaker) strongly preferred; compensation will be higher for someone fluent in Spanish /li /ul
