Job Description: Distinctive Spectrum Joint Venture has an opportunity for a Full Time civilian Medical Receptionist with available work hours Monday - Friday 7am - 8pm and every other Saturday 7am - 2pm at Ft. Belvoir Family Health Center in Dumfries, Virginia. Job Qualifications: The job qualifications for this position are as follows: Must possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent. Successful completion of a Medical Assistant Training course or Associates in Medical Assisting from an accredited college. Must have documented experience in the medical field and in work acting in such a capacity. Have and maintain current certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS). Shall be able to read, write, and speak English well enough to effectively communicate with patients and other staff members. Have knowledge of computer operations and proficiency in the use of basic word processing, data entry, and automated records. Position Overview: This position provides medical records services in support of patient care and treatment. Essential Fnctions: Essential Functions: Have sufficient knowledge and skills to record and maintain accurate records. Prepare reports and able to utilize computer data systems in these processes. Answer inquiries and obtain information for general public, customers, visitors and other interested parties. Provide information regarding activities conducted at establishment; location of departments, offices, and employees within organization. Receive calls from beneficiaries seeking Primary Care or Specialty Referral Appointments.
