SERVICE AREA OVERVIEW
Our progressive Clinical and Anatomic Pathology Laboratory system is staffed by a team of highly-skilled and experienced medical professionals. We are dedicated to providing quality patient care delivered with excellent customer service. Our laboratory system includes inpatient, outpatient and physician office locations and our services include Hematology, Microbiology, Automated Chemistry, Transfusion and Tissue Bank, Flow Cytometry, Hematopoietic Stem Cell and Molecular and Bio repository laboratory.
The Medical Technologist II or Laboratory Section Charge Technologist develops and monitors test systems, and performs and interprets laboratory tests for the diagnosis and care of neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.
Required: All applicants shall meet at least one (1) of the following education/experience requirements: B.S. degree in medical technology, or chemical, physical, or biological sciences, plus three (3) years experience in a clinical laboratory, OR B.S. degree in medical technology, or chemical, physical, or biological sciences, plus successful completion of a specialist certification exam (SH ASCP, SBB ASCP, SM-ASCP, SC-ASCP, SI-ASCP or DLM ASCP) with a total of three (3) years experience in a clinical laboratory, OR Master s degree in administration, management, medical technology, chemical, physical, or biological science, plus three (3) years experience in a clinical laboratory, OR Have state recognized certification as a Medical Technologist. Applicants must demonstrate skills as described in the promotion path guidelines. Ability to implement and perform clinical laboratory procedures according to proper standards and regulations. Preferred: Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
