JOB DESCRIPTION

Med Tech TC1300:

-Hospital setting laboratory services.

-Assumes, under the direction of the Laboratory Director and various group leaders, the responsibility for

patient specimen testing, quality control, quality improvement and equipment maintenance. Accurately and

promptly performs a variety of chemical, microscopic and bacteriologic tests to obtain data for use in the diagnosis and treatment

of disease.

-Candidate must be able to interact with all levels of staff in a variety of departments, physicians, patients,

families, and external contacts when necessary. Must be team member.

-The successful candidate will be an experienced Medical Technologist who is nationally certified!

A. Minimum Education: Four-year structured program from an accredited college / university, including

Clinical integrated into the program. Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology preferred.

B. Required Certification/Registration: Certification can be through National Certification Agency; Health,

Education and Welfare; American Society of Clinical Pathologists; or American Medical Technology. Certification eligible within six months. We're looking for candidates who are already nationally certified!

C. Must read, write and speak English fluently.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Position is classified as OSHA Category I where regular job duties have continuous potential of exposure to bloodborne pathogens

throughout the day.

Med Tech TC1300:
