The Medical Technologist is responsible to perform all diagnostic testing and quality controls; prepare reagents; report results according to established policies and procedures; review and oversee moderate to high complexity testing; monitor and maintain computer applications; maintain equipment and supplies and perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications: REQUIRED EDUCATION: HS diplomaGED PREFERRED EDUCATION: BS REQUIRED LICENSURE: Florida license as medical technologist in all five areas. Temporary license applicable for 60 days pending permanent license. PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: One year clinical laboratory experience PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Experience in Chemistry, Hematology, Serology, Immunology, Blood Bank SPECIFIC SKILLS: Computer skills appropriate to position, Interpersonal skills, Work independently with minimal supervision, Medical terminology and understanding, Teamwork, Organizational skills, Written and verbal communication skills, Time management, Customer service skills.
