Southeast Georgia Health System has an opportunity for a Medical Transcriptionist to join our team!
The Medical Transcriptionist:
* Transcribes dictated health information on site * Edits reports that have been processed via voice recognition
* Alerts the Team Leader of inappropriate editing and or addendum actions conducted by dictating care givers
The Medical Transcriptionist performs the following essential responsibilities:
* Maintains 95% accuracy percentage of transcribed reports as validated through audits
* Utilizes only approved abbreviations when transcribing dictated reports
* Transcribes a minimum of 65,000 characters per eight (8) hour shift
* Maintains knowledge and operation of the integrated dictation and transcription software
* Maintains 95% accuracy percentage of editing documents

The ideal Medical Transcriptionist candidate will possess the following qualifications:
* High School Diploma or equivalent
* Three (3) years medical transcription experience preferred
* Computer Skills
* Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology
