Mental Health Counselor

The McLean-Franciscan Child & Adolescent Inpatient Mental Health Program needs several qualified Mental Health Counselors to join our team of helping professionals dedicated to creating a place of hope and healing for families, children & teens in psychiatric crisis.
Program Overview: A Place for Creating Hope.

32-bed acute child/adolescent inpatient psychiatric unit with state-of-the-art care and access to the expertise of two of the regions foremost psychiatric and child/adolescent hospitals, McLean Hospital and Franciscan Hospital for Children.
A nationally recognized leader in compassionate treatment for children, teens, & families in crisis.

Position Overview

This day, night and every other weekend position that involves working as a team to provide supervision and compassionate support of hospitalized children & teens in crisis.
Mental Health Counselor collaborates with a hospital team to provide therapeutic care and create an environment of hope. They develop an understanding of psychiatric trauma and crisis intervention, and apply this to interactions with youth and families in crisis.
Two positions currently available
Schedule includes rotating weekend shifts.

Education & experience

Excellent interpersonal skills and work habits required. Bachelor s degree and previous experience working with children and teens experience preferred.
