JOB DESCRIPTIONAPPLY Description/Job Summary
*This is a Full-Time Overnight Position*
Under the authority of Management, Mental Health Professionals assures that all operating procedures and regulations are followed. The MHP provides direct services to consumers, significant others and collateral resources and assists consumers with their daily
living needs. The Director and Assistant Director supervise the position.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF POSITION:
Collaborate with Crisis Workers to prioritize daily tasks.
Medication observation according to the Medication policy and document in the medication book.
Interact with consumers, support them in maintaining a healthy sleep pattern.
Facilitate referrals and registrations of consumers who come to Hope House.
Collaborate with consumers, families and providers to assess needs, develop crisis resolution plans and discharge plans.
Provide referral and other case management services for consumers.
Assist in transportation of consumers.
Handle telephone calls and document on 24 hour progress notes.
Perform designated administrative and housekeeping duties; maintain a safe environment; identify and resolve maintenance problems.
Assist consumers with all activities of daily living.
Attend monthly staff meetings, supervisions and trainings.
Work closely with the team.
Exhibit professional behavior that shows respect for clients and co-workers.
Perform all tasks as designated by Hope House Policies and Procedures.
Report to work in an alert and appropriate manner at scheduled time. The overnight shift is an awake shift.
Complete personnel material (e.g. time sheets, vacation requests, etc.) in an accurate and timely manner.
Participate in on-going Quality Improvement.
Perform other duties within the general function of the position.
Keep certifications current (e.g. CPR, CPM, First Aid etc.)
Complete physicals every 2 years.
*Job Requirements/Minimum Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree with 5 years of direct mental health care experience, 2 of which must be a supervisory experience for an Mental Health Professional.
Ability to make independent decisions when consultation with Management team is not possible.
Represents an appropriate role model for consumers
Ability to respond to crisis situations.
Valid driver s license
