PNP Mental Health Specialist Job description 24 hour position (M-W-F)
Under the supervision of the nurse, the MHS helps provide care for inpatients and outpatients in the Psychiatric Neurotherapeutics Program, including ECT and TMS. The MHS assists with pretreatment care including assisting patients with self assessments tools as needed, set up and clean up of the treatment room and recovery room as needed and monitoring outpatients in the Recovery Lounge following their discharge post-ECT within the standards of the department, hospital and regulatory agencies. The PNP MHS works within the treatment team to provide post-recovery room care for individuals and to assist in appropriate discharge procedures, including scheduling of follow up appointments. Duties include interaction with all members of the PNP, inpatients, outpatients and their families.

High School Diploma Required. Two years of college preferred. Requires verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work in collaboration with others. No experience required. One year patient care or related experience preferred, preferably in a psychiatric setting.
Employees are expected to remain awake and alert at all times on all shifts.
All employees must possess basic computer skills to use a variety of electronic or online systems for communication, clinical and administrative purposes.
