JOB DESCRIPTIONPosition : MERCHANDISING SOLUTIONS FUNCTIONAL CONSULTANT
Location: MINNEAPOLIS, MN
NOTE: RELOCATION ASSISTANCE WILL BE PROVIDED BY THE CLIENT IF YOU ARE NOT LOCAL TO JOB LOCATION
Client is searching for a Merchandising Solutions Functional Consultant that will be responsible for working with current and potential customers in the retail industry and retail vendor communities to discover business needs, and present and deliver solutions (focusing on Digital Merchandising Suite) to address these needs.
Works closely with the customer in discovery sessions and ongoing follow-up discussions to ensure clear and concise communication is taking place
Provides support to the North American Head of Sales-Products and team during a sales cycle
Works with Marketing to develop collateral product support materials and promote events and trade shows
Prepares extensively prior to each engagement with internal business areas i.e., Retail ISU, Global Consulting Practice, Account teams, ensuring maximum efficiency once the sales engagement begins
Becomes directly involved with potential customers via requests for proposals.
Articulates and demonstrates the value proposition of solutions to the prospective client
Establishes relationships with the key decision makers
Coordinate sales pursuits with Sales team to provide a cohesive message to prospects and clients
Shape and drive comprehensive go to market plan with the Sales team including pipeline identification and nurturing
Functional/ Delivery responsibilities:
Presents product functionality and benefits to prospective and landed clients
Client-facing leader during functional project phases (Scoping, Design, UAT, Training)
Functional point of contact for key decision makers
Customizes/ develops presentations to address prospective client's business needs
Leads process design sessions
Demonstrates how the proposed methodology can add substantial value in replacing OR enhancing the client's current business environment
Collaborate with product management team, providing feedback from client engagements and market trends helping to shape the product roadmap
Leads Product Council activities- including scheduling, reminding, chairing, and following up on sessions and key takeaways.
BUSINESS SKILLS REQUIRED:
Strong knowledge and experience in the core principles and methodologies of retailcategory management and merchandising
Demonstrates excellent presentation and organizational skills.
Demonstrates excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
Is a team player and works well in a high pace environment.
Ability to create and deliver documents and presentations to customers
