Methods Engineer (Youngstown, OH) Will Relocate!SUMMARY OF DUTIESMaintains and promotes expertise in accepted process methodology to assure conformitywhile continually improving productivity.Analyzes shop floor production problems and assists in practical solutions.Performs troubleshooting process for manufacturing operations.Collects data from shop floor studies such as tooling, swaging and mandrelling analysis.Conducts tooling and tool life studies and recommends methods for improvement.Follows all work instructions, specifications and related requirements as pertain.Follows all Company rules, policies and procedures.Tracking of results and effectiveness of actions carried out.Carries out full analysis of the machining methods and applies a common sense approach to reducingthe cycle times.Able to perform PFMEAFollows all related work instructions, specifications and requirements.Follow all Company Rules, Procedures and Policies.Follow all Company Safety Rules.Any other related duties as assigned by the Site ManagerAble to provide simple communicative spread-sheets/reports that can be easily followed and maintained.Knowledge of DMAICSKnowledge of SPC - Cp Cpk comprehension.Implements LEAN Initiatives (SMED, One piece flow, 5S, VSM, Pokayoke, etc)Is involved in helping TPM teams developing small projects as neededStudies, proposes , implements and manages CAPEX projectsInvolved in cost saving projects.Conducting time and movement studies of the production floor.Writes engineering specifications as required.Works with Manufacturing support team to achieve improvements in the process.nbsp;REQUIREMENTSAssociate of Arts Degree in Industrial Engineering or equivalent degree or equivalent experience.5 years minimum experience in CNC machining techniques.General tooling knowledge as it pertains to machining of metal.General machining knowledgeMetal turning experience preferredGood working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principlesStrong verbal, written and analytical skills.Ability to organize and prioritize work load and to meet deadlines.Ability to read, write and speak well in English.Experience in electrical, plumbing, pneumatic, hydraulic systems preferredExperience in Tool design preferredPLC programming and troubleshooting / Automation experience / robotic experience preferredAbility to understand and execute instructions well.CAD experience - AutoCad / Inventor and EdgeCam preferred
