Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics or related disciple
Minimum Experience: 8+ years experience in credit management at an organization of similar size, scope and complexity
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Extensive experience in loan approval and administration, credit analysis, underwriting and monitoring credit processes
- Extensive experience in preparing and managing credit reports for top management
- Advanced knowledge of federal and state credit regulations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word and Excel
- Advanced knowledge of credit review tools and their applications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent project management skills

Manages various Credit Administration activities for Synovus Bank to ensure that loans adhere to existing policy guidelines and that ongoing administration is adequate to maintain the commercial loan portfolio's quality and profitability. Oversees the monitoring, maintenance and reporting for various credit related information. Leads continuous improvement of processes, quality and consistency.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepares, manages and supports various credit reports for the organization.
Monitors credit programs for the Synovus footprint.
Manages the day to day gathering, reporting and recording of transactions across the footprint related to specific regulatory requirements.
May organize, prepare for and support various monthly, quarterly and annual Synovus Credit meetings.
Monitors and manages monthly past due information, monthly overdraft and cash items information.
May monitor and manage loan packages not received information and relationship manager lending limit information.
May manage credit administration information requests and the relationship with Synovus Audit.
Recommends and implements corporate processes and procedures for Credit Administration activities.
May monitor Sarbanes-Oxley(SOX) compliance for credit. Works with finance and auditors to ensure the credit controls in place conform to SOX.
May serve on various Synovus loan committees.
May manage a Credit Review Center.
Provides leadership, direction and growth opportunities to members of the department, performing those responsibilities in accordance with the Company's policies and applicable laws. Responsible for interviewing, hiring, planning, assigning or directing work, appraising performance, disciplining team members and resolving problems. Work with the Human Resources Department to resolve more complex team member-related issues.
Each team member is expected to be aware of risk within their functional area. This includes observing all policies, procedures, laws, regulations and risk limits specific to their role. Additionally, they should raise and report known or suspected violations to the appropriate Company authority in a timely fashion.
Perform other related duties as required.
