We are looking for MICROSOFT SURFACE DEPLOYMENT CONSULTANT for our client in OLYMPIA, WA

JOB TITLE: MICROSOFT SURFACE DEPLOYMENT CONSULTANT

JOB LOCATION: OLYMPIA, WA

JOB TYPE: CONTRACT - 12 MONTHS / CONTRACT TO HIRE / DIRECT HIRE

JOB DESCRIPTION:

RECEIVE EQUIPMENT :

* Receive equipment from manufacturer at vendor warehouse
* Unpack new Client System from shipping boxes and inspect components for damage
* Verify service tag/serial number for each new Client System against packing slip
* Notify helpdesk of any discrepancy or damage regarding the shipment of Microsoft equipment
* Prepare refuse (cardboard, Styrofoam, plastics, etc.) for recycle or disposal and dispose
* Retain all packing slips for delivery to and/or designated entity

ASSET TAGGING (WAREHOUSE) :

* Place customer provided asset tags on equipment at customer defined location
* Create equipment spreadsheet showing service tag/serial number, asset tag, and description

BIOS UPDATES :

* Make BIOS changes as necessary

WAREHOUSE AND DELIVER TO IMAGING LOCATION :

* Provide warehouse at vendor's facility for receiving and storing systems
* Equipment will be delivered to vendor in stages.

IMAGING :

* Image machine with customer-provided image via Customer provided Imaging System
* Conduct basic functionality test to ensure image loaded successfully

COLLECT AND TRANSPORT SYSTEMS TO INSTALLATION LOCATION :

* Prepare equipment for redelivery (palletizing, wrapping, etc.) once customer has completed final preparation
* Confirm delivery locations, contacts, and schedule with customer Project Coordinator
* Sign out of equipment to be delivered
* Transport Imaged Systems to installation site(s) in accordance with customer provided deployment schedule
* Secure acceptance documentation and maintain chain of custody documentation
* Accept/cover risk of loss for systems while in vendor's possession

BASIC INSTALLATION SERVICE - CLIENT SYSTEM (CPU ONLY) :

* Move new equipment from central location to the end user desk side
* Organize Client System components and peripherals (e.g., keyboards, power supplies, mice, and software) for deployment
* Plug in Monitors using customer provided video cables.
* Plug Customer-provided, certified network patch cables into new Client System
* Plug all power cords into electrical sources
* Plug network patch cables into existing certified network jacks

DE-INSTALLATION OF LEGACY SYSTEM :

* Disconnect the hardware components, network cable, and power cord for the Legacy System
* Move the Legacy System to an on-site storage area designated by Customer in the deployment building

TRANSPORT LEGACY SYSTEMS BETWEEN INSTALLATION SITE AND WAREHOUSE :

* Once customer has completed final preparations on legacy systems, vendor will prepare equipment for redelivery (palletizing, wrapping, etc.).
* Confirm delivery location(s), contacts, and schedule with customer Project Coordinator
* Sign out of equipment to be picked up/transported
* Provide and maintain acceptance documentation to maintain chain of custody integrity
* Transport Legacy Systems from installation site(s) to warehouse in accordance with customer defined deployment schedule
* Secure acceptance documentation
* Accept/cover risk of loss for systems while in vendor's possession

WAREHOUSE LEGACY SYSTEMS :

* Provide warehouse at vendor's facility for receiving and storing Legacy systems
* Warehouse equipment pending completion of quarantine period defined by Customer or until picked up by Asset Recovery Services in accordance with customer defined pickup schedule.
* Accept/cover risk of loss for systems while in Service Provider's possession

DATA WIPE ALL SYSTEMS :

* Data Wipe all systems utilizing a 3 pass NIST approved data erasure program
* Provide report of success or failure of each system attempted to wipe
* Physically destroy all drives that were not able to wipe utilizing the above mentioned process
* Provide a report to Customer certifying the disposition of each and every drive

PREPARE LEGACY SYSTEMS FOR RETURN TO LEASING AGENT :

* Palletize and/or prepare legacy equipment for return to Leasing Agent
* Accept/cover risk of loss for systems while in vendor's possession
* Ship back to leasing agent using return address predefined by the customer
* Provide shipping and tracking documentation to customer
* Provide summary spreadsheet detailing service tag, serial number, make and model of items shipped.
