Description: NMEC provides strategic document and media exploitation support to the Intelligence Community (IC), Law Enforcement Community, and Department of Defense (DoD) in locations worldwide. NMEC is looking for quality executive administration, logistic administration, and security administration essential to the execution of NMEC s mission.

The Mid-Level Administrative Support Specialist will provide administrative support for NMEC various NMEC personnel.

* Assist in composing non-technical correspondence to include endorsements, requests for data, briefings, rosters or reports;

* Assist in screening incoming correspondence and determine appropriate actions;

* Assist in review outgoing correspondence and reports, ensuring proper formats and correct grammatical content are used, and ascertaining that all necessary coordination has been completed;

* Assist in maintaining an appointment calendar and facilitate coordination for NMEC leadership to attend meetings and other functions:

* Assist in creating for government review of travel orders submitted via

* the Defense Travel System (DTS);

* Assist in coordination submission of County and Theater Clearance

* requests;

* Assist in advising travelers on Combatant Command travel requirements to include obtaining Official passport and visas;

* Assist in monitoring and tracking official travel for NMEC personnel in accordance with Joint Travel Regulations;

* Assist DTS Users with application issues/problems. Assist in monition and tracking NMEC-wide tasking s ensuring proper notification, coordination and follow-up;

* Assist in maintaining records management for EI;

* Follow records management instructions and guidelines to assist in ensuring procedures are followed for the proper maintenance, storage and destruction of all types of records and correspondence;

* Assist government for filing/saving official records to the central filing system (hard and soft) and for reviewing documents for destruction or retirement:

* Assist in providing and supporting all routine and non-routine first call (Tier 1) response/resolution on a number of different topics requiring knowledge of customer service principles and practices in human capital, training, travel, task management, and records management.

* Assist in conducting assessment of monthly organization overtime/compensation report and develops into a cost matrix by each NMEC office;

* Assist in managing the Newcomer Orientation Program conducting a four-hour monthly in-processing brief for new NMEC employees;

* Understand the learning needs of clients and assist training focal point

* on meeting the requirements, as appropriate;

* Research, investigate, and provide recommendations on new or improved business and management practices for EI and/or NEMC which may have an impact on the organization structure, manpower authorizations, end-strengths, and staffing requirements;


* Five (5) years of specialized administrative support experience at a senior level DoD level in preparation, crafting, and editing executive-level and technical correspondence, summaries, guidance and other documents.

* Must be proficient using the MS Office Suite of applications such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, and Access.

* Must be familiar with government DTS.

* Must be familiar with government time keeping processes.


* Bachelor s degree preferred

* Five (5) years Administrative Support experience

* Expert MS Office Skills

* Expert knowledge of DoD processes and terminology
