We are currently recruiting for an Experienced Structures Engineer to join our Palm Beach Gardens, Florida office.

As an Experienced Structures Engineer, you will evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria to solve problems. Experienced Structures Engineers work on interdisciplinary teams to support the design and analysis of land based gas turbine components and supporting test hardware during the concept, design, and production phases.

Principal Responsibilities for an Experienced Structures Engineer include but are not limited to the following:

Building Finite Element Analysis (FEA) models
Troubleshooting analysis code
Performing structural, modal, and lifing assessments
Performing fundamental hand calculations for stress analysis
Generating results presentations and reports
Participating in customer Design Reviews
Mentoring junior engineers

Requirements for the role include:

Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited institution
2+ years’ experience
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
Good communication skills
Ability to work in a team
Important knowledge and experience needed for this role includes

Exposure to finite element software and analysis
Understanding of fundamental hand calculations for stress analysis
Ability to learn new tools and concepts quickly
Experience writing analysis reports
Experience giving presentations in front of small audiences

Due to the nature of the work being done all applicants must be U. S. Citizens

Desired skills include:

Proficiency in Finite Element Analysis software (ANSYS/Hypermesh/Advanced Simulation)
Aptitude for writing small computer programs (macros)
Strong time management skills
Experience/Internship as a Structures Engineer is a plus
