Job Description

Key Responsibilities



* Keep entire area clean and organized throughout the day.

* Make sure all packing materials and supplies are placed in its proper location when not in use.

* Take lunches and breaks on time.

* Monitor that the cardboard box machine and the transfer belts to the Grandi packing machine hoper are working properly at all times

* Keep accurate counts of production throughout day; write Julian date and pallet number on every pallet. Verify that every case has Julian date that is taped correctly. Verify every pallet is well done and squared.

* Code date printer must be checked every hour to make sure it changed the shift and Julian date

* WRITE AND ACCOUNT FOR EVERY PALLET IS SENT TO FREEZER

* Follow the direction of the Team Leader

* Report any problems with the robot and its parts do a Preflight every shift, and report any anomalies to supervisor.

* No bad bulky, untapped, torn cases go through Palletizer

* No boxes fallen inside the Palletizer Robot Room, NO EXCEPTIONS must clean ASAP.

* Manage supplies, gloves, hairnets, and beard nets throughout the day no excessive number of cardboard cases in the production area. No cases made left out more than 5 minutes after the pallet is finished.

* Responsible for rapid changeovers. If needed

* Responsible for wearing uniform on daily basis.

* Responsible for wearing correct shoes on daily basis.

* Clean and maintain the lunchroom and production office. No trash in either area.

* Responsible for communicating any production supplies that needs to be replenished.

* Report equipment issues to both the Production Supervisor and Maintenance.

* Maintain good communication with all other areas.

* Be clean, in uniform, including proper non slip shoes, have the necessary tools, and report at the packing station on time every day

* Follow the Packing Standard Operating Procedures guidelines at all times

* Make sure the packing system is working properly on its entire flow of mechanic, and electronic components to avoid stopping. Do a Preflight @ start of new week

* Notify the supervisor of any given issue immediately

* Make sure all packing components and supplies are properly staged, including plastic bags and cardboard boxes ready to go in case of manual packing emergency

* Check for loaf consistency: shape, frozen state, moist built ups, and let the Production Supervisor know of any given issue such as double, crooked, unshaped sticks and the weight of the case @ the check weightier

* Never leave boxes, nor sticks on conveyors or containers waiting to be packed for more than FIVE MINUTES

* NO BOXES, STICKS, OR DEBRIS ON THE FLOOR @ ANY GIVEN TIME

* Do not leave area without notifying supervisor.

* Write any required information on the QA paper work

* When hand packing do it as a bulk, do not count but fill cases completely

* Verify that sanitation department perform cleaning and sanitization at beginning of shift

* Packing operator is responsible for rapid changeovers, if needed

* Keep entire area clean and organized throughout the day and follow GMPs

* No supplies, gloves, hairnets, beard nets, tools on top of the equipment at any given time.

* Packer, is responsible for knife, brush, or any other tool sign in and sign out

* Packer must help on dumping ALL dough in the food waste carts at the end of the shift.

* Take lunches and breaks on time and notify your supervisor before going to brake

* Clean and maintain the lunchroom and production office. No trash in either area.

* Maintain good communication with all other areas

* Follow GMP policies and procedures at all times.

* Inform Supervisor of any deviations of the process immediately to obtain and follow proper action.

* Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

* (No supplies, gloves, hairnets, beard nets, or tools should be left on top of the equipment at any given time.)

* Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

* Know and follow safety rules.

* Know and follow AIB guidelines.

* Other responsibilities might assigned as needed

Physical Requirements: Required to consistently lift 50 lbs or more through out the shift. Required to bend, stoop, walk and lift through out the shift.
