SERVICE AREA OVERVIEW
Northside Hospital offers comprehensive cardiovascular care through diagnostic, interventional, rehabilitative and support services. An established leader in cardiovascular services, Accredited Chest Pain Center, and designated UnitedHealth Premium Cardiac Specialty Center for outstanding quality cardiac services, Northside recently expanded its award-winning program to offer the latest in vascular surgery services. Northside Vascular Surgery is one of the most skilled vascular surgery programs in the Southeast and the only program in the nation equipped to treat high-risk patients with custom-modified endografts for aortic aneurysm.
Performs direct observation of biomedical electronic devise displays, reads, and mounts rhythm strips, and reports periodic or remarkable value changes as required. Provides indirect patient care to adolescent through adult patient population.
Required: Successful completion of Basic Arrhythmia Course OR Successfully complete a competency exam on identification of arrhythmias with a score of 85% or greater. Must possess and maintain current knowledge of pacemakers, ICD s, and related issues as identified; must complete on annual competency exam and correctly identify all lethal arrhythmias and receive overall score of 85% or greater.
