Job Summary: Required to close Conventional, FHA, VA, Non-Conforming purchases, refinances and Home Equities in various states Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Review title commitments and gather all outstanding title items Review hazard insurance policy for correct coverage Preparation of final closing figures Required to prepare closing write up sheets for data entry Preparation of final closing package for first and/or second mortgage Closing packages to be review for accurate spelling of names and property address, dates, closing figures, rate, and appropriate notes and mortgages for each state along with the appropriate riders requiredRequired to make sure all wire requests are fully completed, accurate and given to accounting in time per accounting’s policy for wiresMaintain an accurate closing calendar and e-mail daily to team and distribution listMaintain all estimated closing dates for released filesMust return phone calls the day received – “Sundown Rule”Make any phone calls to obtain title, surveys or hazard insurance missing from fileGive to team leader for final review of closing packageRequired to confirm all closings and update the computer 24 hours after closing

QUALIFICATIONS:



Accountabilities: Employee is accountable to his/her superior for success or failure in accomplishing objectives.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Thorough understanding of closing policies and procedures. Solid knowledge of and practical experience with applicable technology tools including but not limited to Microsoft Office suite of products. Ability to handle confidential material in a professional, highly ethical manner. Time management and organization skills to effectively prioritize multiple objectives and achieve volume goals.

Education Level/Experience Level: High School Diploma or GED, college degree is preferred. The ideal candidate will have more than five (5) years of related banking or mortgage banking Closing experience.

Language Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills are essential. Proficient at one-on-one contact in person and via telephone as well as be able to conduct group presentations. Ideas and suggestions need to be articulated clearly. Ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees throughout the Company.

Reasoning Ability: Need to have strong analytical ability.
