Develop, design, produce and deliver of an array of timely, innovative, and content-rich, graphic products that enable clear, impactful, and enduring messaging. Graphics may include: publication and book design; foldout publication design; digital and hardcopy briefing materials, including slides and Web/online graphics; brochures; newsletters; booklets; corporate identity (e.g., logos, signage, letterheads, medals, certificates, publications format, templates, and standards); iconography (logos, trademarks, symbols); marketing for corporate events (e.g., posters, fliers, tent cards, invitations, registration materials, agenda); original artist concepts; and exhibits and display design. Graphic delivery platforms may be in print or digital display media, such as interactive Website/online and mobile device delivery platforms or a combination of delivery output modalities and platforms.
MULTIMEDIA/GRAPHIC DESIGNER SHALL:
Work directly with customers to define project requirements, identify customer expectations, and develop production timelines.
Without guidance, plan and coordinate graphic formats and products within project guidelines.
Assess the message content and advise customer on the best format and related production processes to achieve optimum message impact.
Develop and present preliminary design concepts to customer for review and incorporate feedback.
Without guidance, design and produce finished graphics projects.
Develop original, innovative graphic concepts, formats, templates, and standards for product design within a project team environment using appropriate basic graphic design principles, theories, practices, and software applications; and applying the principles of aesthetics and composition (i.e., hierarchy, emphasis, balance, flow, unity, etc.), typography, and color theory design content.
Design publication products such as books, foldouts, brochures, newsletters, and posters; briefing products; Web products; Web sites; corporate identity; iconography; artist concepts; and three-dimensional exhibit and display design.
Design graphic formats such as technical drawings, illustrations, timelines, organizational charts, flow charts, statistical charts, matrices, schematics, and photo retouching/composition.
Depending on project requirements, apply Web design principles, theory, practices, and software applications to develop concepts and final artwork for interactive Web site design requirements.
Depending on project requirements, code and write script for mobile device delivery.
Adhere to established technical production and quality control standards and guidelines.
Coordinate format, content, and delivery requirements with multiple disciplines (e.g. customers, cartographers, printers, web publishers).
Brief management on the status of projects, as needed or requested.
Without guidance, ensure quality control and graphic usability, deliver, and archive final products
Test products, including Web/online for display and operability.
Facilitate quality control procedures.
Bachelor s degree in Graphic Design, visual communication, new media design, interactive multimedia design, interactive web design, or a closely related arts/media field; OR 5 years relevant work experience
Minimum of five (5) years of experience installing hardware and software, configuring, and maintaining personal computer systems; maintaining and administering Internet-hosted eLearning web sites and resources
Strong initiative and commitment to customer service
Candidate selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for a TS/SCI w FSP.
