The successful candidate must possess excellent writing and oral communication and organizational skills. This individual must demonstrate the ability to exercise good judgment and decision making, manage multiple tasks and vendor deliverables. The candidate should have a high energy level, a passion for IT innovation and ability to exploit IT investments to improve business processes. The candidate should have an Associate s degree required and 4 to 8 years of experience developing solutions using various development tools such as: ASP.NET, VB/C#, JAVA, and Microsoft SQL Server/Oracle database or demonstrates aptitude and willing to learn new development skills.

Bachelor s degree in a technical field (Computer Science, Math/Science, or Engineering) is preferred. Experience with following technologies is a plus: Business Analysis (Includes Functional/Technical Documentation), System Architecture, Application Design, Database Design/Analysis, Data Modeling and SQL, Web Services, XML, XSL, XSD, JavaScript, JQuery, SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) Packages, BizTalk, Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Visio, Microsoft Project, and any automated testing tools.

Responsibilities: The candidate will support Electric Operations systems. The candidate will work on new application development and maintaining existing systems. Responsibilities are: * Facilitate all aspects of the application development life cycle including analysis, design, development, testing and implementation. * Foster high quality, innovated IT solutions * Partner with business users to identify and develop improvement in Electric Operations process & systems. * Develops functional scope and designs for new systems and enhancements of existing systems. * Use multiple tools and technologies to develop, configure and maintain the Electric Operations process/systems. * Develop/Assist with test plans, including unit, integration, performance and user acceptance * Migrate code changes from Development to Test and Production environments. * Maintain detailed documentation of issues and the changes that are implemented to resolve them. * Create Product Support Service Requests and follow up on the required information request and action plans. * Work with other support groups to evaluate impact, test, and performs post-patch validation. * Work closely with other technical groups to manage and address any issues * Makes recommendations for improving application or system design and implementation in light of process changes or changes in the business or technology environment. * Demonstrate strong collaboration, high energy and ability to drive the design & deployment of application solutions * Work in teams * Demonstrate independent judgment and manage multiple tasks * Provide 24x7 on call support on a rotating basis. * Implement and adhere to Con Edison Cyber Security policies and procedures

Ensures Company safety, health and environmental programs for employees whose work they direct. Ensures that safe work practices are followed and the environment is fully protected in accordance with Company policy and governmental regulations.

The position requires a valid driver s license. The candidate must be willing and able to travel within the service territory as required to attend meetings and provide support as necessary. The candidate must be flexible with respect to working off-hours as required for system upgrades and production support during corporate emergencies.
