- Team charter is to provide focused support to field engineers, factory tech support, and internal development groups to drive issue resolution and improve product supportability . Responsibilities include issue escalation and problem management (work with Apps Engineers worldwide to solve complex customer design issues), knowledge creation and management (creating, updating and maintaining Answer Records, documentation, App Notes, internal training collateral, etc); drive product definition (work with appropriate product groups to ensure complete solution) and associated projects to deliver better supportability into products.Specific details and projects:NPE/NPI Solution Rollout (roughly 50%)Coordinate across Supportability PAE staff and with Engineering to ensure all technical customer required solution elements are identified and tracked for all new products and key customer projectsGather and drive customer requirements for lead designs during NPE/NPI with focus on Global Major AccountsFor example, coordinate specific solution elements (IP, models, char data, etc) that the SCD Production customers need and drive these in EngineeringSame above required for lead SSIT and Zynq customersRepresent Sales and Support in key factory forums related to NPE/NPICritical Issue Champion in Factory for China (roughly 20%)Facilitate weekly call between WTS and China teamDevelop executive report out process and deliver as needed for critical issuesWork with appropriate PAE and PAE Managers in WTS to facilitate issue resolution Voice of China Customer Supportability (roughly 30%)With the focus on the China market, be key advocate and drive product requirements with a focus on the design engineers in ChinaExamples: OS support needs, unique GUI and design flow requirements, features and capabilities to enable quick turn designs as Chinese designers typically doAdditionally, provide insight and direction to knowledge and web strategy to better serve Chinese market
- Ability to collaborate across different groups with varying levels of expertise and skillIn depth understanding of all elements of the Xilinx solutionAbility to interact with varying levels of management including Director and VP levelResolve complex issues and educate engineering, marketing or PAEs through the use of effective persuasion and deep and broad technical expertiseAbility to lead informal groups of PAEs and engineering to resolve complex issues Identify gaps in current processes within Xilinx across multiple groups, propose solutions, and execute on implementation planLead cross departmental and/or international teams on multiple projectsBS in computer or electrical engineeringWorking knowledge of VHDL and/or VerilogIn depth understand of Xilinx Design Flow including system level integration
