JOB DESCRIPTION: Twenty-four hour accountability and responsibility for clinical and administrative operations of Emergency Services Department. Oversees the coordination and collaboration with the Division of Patient Care Services, physicians, and other departments in establishing and implementing cost effective, state-of-the-art quality care. Accountable for performance improvement initiatives that maintain standards of practice. QUALIFICATIONS: SKILLS ABILITIES COMPETENCIES REQUIRED: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and be able to demonstrate any knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients serviced on hisher assigned unit. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Minimum of 3+ years experience in an acute care hospital. Clinical background in appropriate Emergency Services. Managerial and leadership experience is required. EDUCATION REQUIRED: BSN required. Masters Degree preferred with MSN, MBA or other health related degree. LICENSES, CERTIFICATION andor REGISTRATION REQUIRED.
