NWH Radiology Practitioner Assistant

The Radiologist AssistantRadiology Practitioner Assistant (RARPA) is responsible for assisting the Radiologist in the care of patients and will supplement the current radiology team structure and provide an added dimension for patient care. The RARPA will be directly involved with patients undergoing identified fluoroscopic andor invasive procedures as their training and expertise dictates, and serves, under the supervision of the radiologist, as a liaison between the Department of Radiology and the referring physicians. Day Shift QUALIFICATIONS: -Graduate of accredited RA or RPA program (must subsequently pass ARRT RA certification or hold CBRPA certification dated prior to 123107); 2-3 years experience as a Radiology Technologist; active and valid ARRT certification and Massachusetts state RT license. BLS and ACLS certification required. -Must have the ability to follow complex patient management plans as directed by the attendingsupervising radiologist. Must demonstrate the skills and knowledge necessary to deliver care to the patient population served and demonstrate the highest level of customer service in interacting with all colleagues, patients and families.
