Position Summary



*Responsible for creating, managing and driving a pipeline of National Accounts which include health systems, payer systems and nationally recognized community based non-profits.
*Relationships are pinnacle and will be a key measure of your success. The expectation is that this will be done leveraging the existing Netsmart customer base and through frequent customer visits, calls and conference attendance.
*Many opportunities will require a traditional sales approach to progress opportunities through stages. Large strategic opportunities often require a business development approach and outside-the-box thinking to further the opportunity.
*Sales cycle generally ranges from 6-18 months and requires commitment and dedication to creating a true partnership.
*This position will require approximately 50% travel and can be remote from the Western U.S. or Midwest





Major Responsibilities



*Qualify leads from executive calling program as well as proactive target-based prospects.
*Generate new business by prospecting for new customers in person and via the telephone.
*Thoroughly understand the Netsmart offering of solutions and services and the value proposition provided by each
*Understand clients business needs and suggest appropriate solutions to match those needs
*Retain all existing accounts through regular direct contact with all current and prospective customers
*Manage and maintain a database of current clients
*Work with technical and marketing support staff to qualify and complete RFPs
*Handle multiple functions and priorities with high level of effectiveness
*Engage in proactive customer initiatives to provide accounts with proper level of service and support



Requirements



*Must be able to demonstrate high level of achievement of at least 5 years of sales experience with technology related products or services in the medical services provider marketplace, with emphasis on behavioral health, public health and other human service settings.
*Over Quota achievement is the minimum requirement.
*Strong interpersonal skills
*Self-Starter
*Strong communication and presentation skills
*Excellent contract and proposal development skills
*Travel as needed (up to 50% of the time)
*PC Literacy and knowledge of standard office products and sales tools



Preferred



*IT or technology background in school or business
*Knowledge of the healthcare industry, ideally acute care health systems and/or behavioral health will be well received
*EMR/EHR background is certainly helpful and not necessary



Education Requirements



*Minimum of a 4 year college degree or equivalent work experience
