JOB DESCRIPTION

The National Account Managers have direct sales responsibility for all store brand customers. This position includes business management of existing retail customers (store brands) for consumable goods. In addition, the National Account Manager will work closely with internal supply chain and operations departments to achieve volume and profit goals. The ideal candidate will also champion aggressive growth plans in the Western U.S. We're searching for the right candidate who is motivated by the desire to make a significant impact on the growth and direction of our company.

Existing account responsibilities with established clients west of Colorado.

Achieve the company's annual sales objectives within the assigned geography.

Develop trade relationships and add value to the sales process via category expertise.

Manage the internal brokers that represent store brands portfolio within each customer.

Participate in strategic planning of the company's annual sales and marketing initiatives.

Analyze category consumption data for the purpose of identifying business opportunities.

Understand ethnic consumers throughout the West that are primary users of the Company's products.

Work closely with operations management to ensure and uphold company's reputation for superior customer service and supply chain efficiency.

Coordinate pricing activity that follows the commodity markets in which we compete.

Assist in the coordination of large national bids for new and existing business.

Implement program for annual category reviews with the Top 5 retail customers in the assigned geography.

Assist in the development strategic plans for product development, packaging, etc.

Develop and understanding of the company's sales efforts in classes of trade other than retail grocery (including food service, export, trading, etc.).

50% travel required.

EXPERIENCE AND JOB QUALIFICATIONS

4 year degreerequired.

8+ years of category management / sales management experience for CPG industry.

Experience developing and implementing store brand or branded commodity strategies (a plus!).

Experience understanding and selling with data and insights.

Proven track record in strategic sales management with new markets, new product introductions.

Articulate with proven verbal and written communication skills.

Team player who exudes self-confidence, sharing successes with others while being personally accountable in achieving results.
