JOB DESCRIPTION

The Network Administrator helps setup, configure, and support internal and external networks, including configuration and maintenance of network hardware equipment, with a heavy emphasis on routers, switches, and firewalls. The Network Administrator creates and maintains a disaster recovery plan, recommends upgrades, patches, and new network related appliances, software, and services. The Network Administrator troubleshoots tier 3network performance issues, provides technical support and guidance to users and to other members of the Network and Systems teams, collaborates with other members of the Network team, and quickly learns new technologies.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

JOB SPECIFIC DUTIES

*

Manage multiple network infrastructure projects and operational tasks concurrently.
*

Configure and maintain internet infrastructure; Cisco ASA firewalls, Cisco Catalyst switches, Cisco Nexus switches, Cisco routers, Cisco wireless, Cisco Secure ACS, Palo Alto Networks firewalls, and A10 Load balancers.
*

Configure routers for BGP, OSPF, NAT, HSRP, and QoS
*

Design and troubleshoot routing protocols including OSPF, EIGRP, and BGP.
*

Troubleshoot, install and configure connections including MPLS, Point-to-Point, and Site-to-Site VPN.
*

Install and configure Core, Distribution, and Access switches.
*

Provide third level support to Network Operations and team members.
*

Design, configure, and maintain the corporate network based on best practice architecture designs.
*

Configure and maintain all LAN and WAN devices and provide QOS.
*

Responsible for Network management (LAN and WAN).
*

Design, configure, and maintain LAN voice and data networks.
*

Knowledge of the following managing and monitoring tools is a plus: Fluke, Sniffer, Solarwinds, Network Instruments Observer, Wireshark, and Netflow.
*

Operational support which covers day-to-day tasks.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE

FIVE PLUS YEARS OF PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE WITH NETWORK SOLUTIONS, ACROSS MULTIPLE VENDOR AND TECHNOLOGIES (CISCO, PALO ALTO NETWORKS, BLUE COAT, SECUREAUTH, A10 NETWORKS, SILVER PEAK)
*

EXPERIENCE IN PCI, PII, AND HIPPA ENVIRONMENTS PREFERRED
*

Proven analytical, STRATEGIC VISION and strong problem-solving abilities
*

Ability to organize, prioritize, and coordinate workload activities to ALIGN WITH ORGANIZATION'S GOALS and objectives
*

Establish and MAINTAIN KEY RELATIONSHIPS with strategic suppliers
*

Able to PRIORITIZE AND EXECUTE TASKS IN A HIGH-PRESSURE ENVIRONMENT
