span   br   br Network Admin who have worked on multiple platforms (Windows, Linux UNIX, AIX) and who would be a fit for this role.  Also, a CCNP is a big “plus.” br   br   br Job Title Network Administrator br   br   br Description GENERAL SUMMARY: As a member of the Infrastructure Services group in the Information Technology Department, the role of the Network Administrator is to ensure the stability and integrity of in-house voice, data, video, and wireless network services. This is achieved by planning, designing, and developing local area networks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs) across the organization. br   br DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES: br • Assess and plan near- and long-term network capacity needs. br • Design and deploy company LANs, WANs, and wireless networks, including servers, routers, switches, UPSs, and other hardware. br • Conduct research on network products, services, protocols, and standards to remain abreast of developments in the networking industry. br • Oversee new and existing equipment, hardware, and software upgrades. br • Configure networks to ensure their smooth and reliable operation for fulfilling business objectives and processes. br • Ensure network connectivity of all servers, workstations, telephony equipment, fax machines, and other network appliances. br • Practice network asset management, including maintenance of network component inventory and related documentation and technical specifications information. br • Monitor and test network performance and provide network performance statistics and reports. br • Perform IOS upgrades on routers, switches, UPSs, and other hardware. br • Recommend, schedule, and perform network improvements, upgrades, and repairs. br • Create and maintain documentation as it relates to network configuration, network mapping, processes, and service records. br • Develop, implement and maintain policies, procedures, and associated training plans for network administration, usage, and disaster recovery. br • Take ownership of assigned projects to ensure timely completions. br • Work on other projects as assigned and act as liaison to other departments and vendors on behalf of the department. br • Coordinate the implementation of approved changes for IT infrastructure and assists with maintaining Change Management documentation. br • Assist with after-hours system failures and emergencies. Within reason, maintain availability for such emergencies at all times except while on PTO via CFCU-issued PDA. br   br Requirements EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, and EXPERIENCE: br • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from a four year college or university. br • Proven experience and success with LAN, WAN, WLAN, and WWAN design and implementation. br • Proven experience with network capacity planning, network security principles, and general network management best practices. br • Windows OS, Linux, Unix, and AIX experience is a plus. br • VoIP experience is desirable. br • CCNP certifications are desirable. br • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. br   br KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES: br • Working technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and Internet standards OSPF, BGP, SIP, IPSEC , RIP and EIGRP. br • Excellent knowledge of TCP/IP, IP networks, VP, IPS, and DNS required. br • Competence with testing tools and proced
