li Develop configuration and technical networking support for both production and development systems. /li li Design and support the networks for individual project team. /li li Analyze and modify systems requirements as a part of a larger project team. /li li Configure, manage and provide technical networking support for physical environments, including hosts, operating systems and storage. /li li Configure, manage and provide technical networking support for virtual environments, including hosts, operating systems and storage. /li li Design monitoring systems to trend network usage and capacity. /li li Identify malfunctions and make corrections to network configurations to ensure efficient operation. /li li Manage assigned projects and program components to deliver services in accordance with established objectives. /li li Design, configure, and provide technical support for the firewalls, IPS, and other network security systems. /li li Respond to inquiries from staff, administrators, service providers, site personnel and outside vendors and provides technical assistance and support in a timely manner. /li li Troubleshoot malfunctions of network applications to resolve operational issues and restore services. /li li Monitor and document traffic analysis. /li li Coordinate the repair, replacement, or retirement of system and network infrastructure. /li li Proactively identify, investigate, and propose resolutions to issues that could impact the network/server infrastructure utilized by customers to support mission operations. /li li Perform other duties as assigned or required. /li /ul
  br B Job Qualifications /B br Typically requires a Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field and nine or more years of progressive experience in computer and/or network support with a Bachelors or seven or more years with a Masters. Equivalent professional experience may be substituted in lieu of education. br   br ul
li Mid-to-Senior Level experience with Network Routing and Switching Technologies to include but not limited to: /li li Operating Systems (Windows, Linux), Computer Systems Hardware, Computer Systems Software, Switching Technologies (Spanning Tree, VLAN, P-VLAN, Snooping Technologies, SPAN / RSPAN / TAP, VACL, MAC-Address / CAM Table, BUM Filters / Storm Control, Port Aggregation / Ether-Channel, and Layer 3 Switching Features), Routing Technologies (Routing Protocols, BGP {IBGP, EBGP, Route Reflectors, and Metrics},) /li li OSPF (LSA, Network Type, Redistribution, and Route Manipulation) and Multicast (PIM, IGMP, Sparse / Dense/ Sparse-Dense Mode, RP’s, and RPF) /li li Encryption (IPSEC, Inline Network Encryptors, Suite B) /li li Tunneling /li li Network Management /li li Network/Computer Systems Design Theory /li li Technical Documentation /li li Knowledge of RETMA rack mountable equipment design and integration a plus. /li li Must demonstrate an extensive technical expertise of data network principles, theories, concepts and related disciplines and have project leadership skills including organizing, scheduling, conducting, and coordinating work assignments to meet project milestones or established completion dates. /li li Must be able to contribute to the development of new processes or systems, resolve complex technical problems, and serve as spokesperson or leader on projects. /li&
