Network Engineer Position Description Position Summary:CGI Federal is seeking an Network Engineer to work with our Colorado Springs, CO team. The successful candidate will provide support to the customers and collaborate with various engineering and support teams in system design and functions of unclassified and classified systems to obtain system authorization.Principle Duties & Responsibilities:SCI Eligibility, Security +, Nutanix andVMWare experience. CISCO - CCNA minimum, CCNA preferred - but must have a solid background in IP sub-netting and routing. Juniper experience (JNCIA) required.Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:- Minimum of six (6) years engineering experience (Information System, Network Data Centers, and/or C4I Infrastructure) for Defense industry/Department of the Navy or comparable Government Agency, preferably experience related to the design, building, integration, and testing of Navy C4I systems.- Minimum five (5) years of experience integrating COTS applications into the network enterprise environment. Extensive knowledge of hypervisors, operating systems and systems management tools (i.e., EMC, MS, VMware, etc.)- Execution of engineering development and change activities in accordance with the PEO C4I Configuration Management and Enterprise Change Request (ECR) process.- Execution of SPAWAR System Engineering Technical Reviews (SETRs) (e.g. System Requirements Review, System Functional Review, Preliminary Design Review, Critical Design Review, etc.).- Must demonstrate experience with the development of Software Load Plans and Media (e.g. Configuration Item Configuration Documents (CICDs)).- Must demonstrate experience in development of preliminary design artifacts to include system and subsystem performance specifications, interface specifications, and System/Subsystem Design Description (SSDD) documentation.- Must demonstrate experience in development of technical design artifacts to include Technical Data Packages (TDPs) and Installation Requirements Drawings (IRDs).- Must demonstrate success with the engineering of a complex system to meet Navy Information Assurance and Cybersecurity requirements.- Must demonstrate experience with Navy Afloat Network In-Service Tier 3 engineering troubleshooting and problem resolution.- Must possess IATII level certification and Secret clearance at a minimum, solid background in IP.Desired Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:- Ability to establish positive working relations and ability to diplomatically and effectively deal with Government officials and other stakeholders.- Self-motivator with ability to work as part of a team or independently with little supervision or direction.- NORAD and USNORTHCOM network systems or enclave experience a plus.- SCI Eligibility, Security +, Nutanix and VMware experience. CISCO - CCNA minimum, CCNA preferred.- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
