Network Engineer Level 3
The Network Engineer will be responsible for the design, implementation, and support of the Varex enterprise data network infrastructure. This individual will perform a wide variety of network responsibilities related to Datacenter/LAN/WAN/Enterprise Wireless. In addition, this individual will also provide operational break/fix support primarily supporting AMR/EMEA/APAC.
Major Responsibilities
The individual will be responsible for the operational support of the enterprise network. This will include a heavy focus on break/fix, network outage support and incident queue management. The individual will be a good problem solver and will work extensively to troubleshoot network outages. This individual will also be responsible for the quality control of the deployed systems with responsibilities to include:
Solid understanding of network switching and routing
Hands on experience configuring and supporting IP routing protocols such as OSPF and BGP
Implement Local Area Networks with a preferred experience working with Juniper EX switch platform.
This position also requires working experience supporting global WAN technologies such as MPLS, IPSEC, SSL/VPN, ISP/DIA, and Point to Point leased lines.
Responsible for WAN MPLS and DIA turn ups. Solid knowledge of working with ISP providers.
Working experience using Juniper EX4XXX, EX82XX, Riverbed WAN Optimization (550, 1050, 2050, 5055, 7055), Cisco (ASR 1001, 2921, 38XX, 29XX, 19XX, 18XX, ASA), Aruba (3600, 7200 controllers, AP-135s, Airwave, ClearPass)
Knowledge of application flows, packet capture and analysis.
Knowledge of virtualization technology in network, systems, and storage.
Perform performance tuning and capacity management analysis that leads to possible recommendations to ensure solutions are scalable but cost effective
Experience in vendor management for network managed services
Must be proactive and take the lead role when required
Good troubleshooting skills to isolate and identify configuration, design, and software anomalies; ability to clearly articulate findings in written and verbal communications with development level engineering staff
Provides network SME operational break/fix support for P1/P2 service outages
Consistently follow standard change management processes. Document and evaluate impact of required changes to the various stakeholders and IT. Plan, schedule and communicate changes to be implemented.
Experience supporting enterprise VOIP networks
Experience supporting Telecom adds/moves/changes
Experience working with PBX, TDM and PRIs
Experience working with cloud unified collaboration systems such as 0365, leveraging voice, video and IM
Create, publish and update Network logical and physical diagrams, Knowledge Articles, SOPs, and documentation.

Bachelor s Degree or equivalent work experience
o 5+ years working in multi-vendor multi-protocol large scale network environment
o 5+ years hands on experience working with Juniper, Cisco, Riverbed
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Solid written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work with general guidance to effectively perform routine and complex operational tasks and projects
