Bowhead is looking for a Network Security Engineer to work as part of a Security Operations Team identifying and preventing unauthorized intrusions and malicious software from entering a global IT infrastructure. Job duties will include:
-Using monitoring tools, IPS/IDS, Firewalls, and application intelligent security devices to identify and prevent security related events.
-Implementing firewall rule changes and approved exceptions to the base security infrastructure, including IPS exceptions and web/internet blocks.
-Implementing and modifying current IDS signatures across all IDS capable devices.
Please note that rotational on-call duty and occasional travel is required for this position.
-CISSP certification or ability to attain in 6 mos. Security+ required if starting without CISSP.
-IPS/IDS, web filtering, logging/SEIM and multiple vendor firewalls.
-Excellent communication and customer service skills.
-Knowledge of Snort, Cisco IOS, multi-vendor log aggregation tools, UNIX, TCPDump, Wireshark, Syslog, Remedy.
Must be able to obtain a clearance at the TOP SECRET level. Required Experience
Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent, and 9 years of relevant experience.
Candidates must pass a Non-DOT pre-employment drug screening, and must follow all Non-DOT Drug and Alcohol Testing Program Requirements.
