Network Maintenance Technician

JOB DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

-All responsibilities of a Repair Technician and Installer
-Perform maintenance and repair to the outside plant in accordance with safety regulations, good workmanship and customer needs
-Ensures preventative maintenance i.e., sweeping, balancing, signal leakage detection and monitoring, voltage measurements, standby power testing, module sweeping and testing
-Calibrates and aligns SLM�� s and all other equipment assigned to him/her
-Maintains in depth knowledge of system design parameters and specifications
-Understands and uses system design prints in daily performance or responsibilities
-Participate in a regularly scheduled on-call duty beyond normal working hours
-All other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS:

-High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
-18-24 months experience in an I/R Technician III position
-Must have completed Insight NMTechnician Course or equivalent field experience
-Pass written / practical testing relevant to the position
-Achieved QC standards for I/R Technician III position
-Some formal education in electricity/electronics or 3-5 years equivalent experience
-Two years experience in a CATV technical position or related field
-Valid driver�� s license and good driving record
-Minor construction ability
-Ability to use sweep transmitters and receivers, signal leakage detection equipment, TDRs and a minor ability to use spectrum analyzers, wave form monitors and oscilloscopes
-Reverse sweep tech knowledge a plus
