Job Description:

NETWORK MANAGER (FTEUS-16-1454-F): Bowhead seeks a Senior Network Manager to provide direct support to the Fort Eustis network Enterprise Center (NEC), TBOC customers NETCOM Continental United States (CONUS), 2nd Regional Cybersecurity Center (2RCC). The Network Manager will provide technical expertise and support in establishing a plan/Standing Operating Procedure (SOP) for specific Operation and Maintenance (O&M) routines, training, qualification requirements, improved O&M method suggestions, procedures and conventions. Requires developing and reviewing network documentation for PPS, RFC's, and RMF. This position is located at the NEC at Fort Eustis, Virginia, but may work other areas at Fort Eustis. Network management responsibilities include: Remote and onsite monitoring of system workloads, system hardware component installation, configuration and operation. Installing, managing/maintaining and troubleshooting data network systems including switching, routing, and protocols. Install, configure, manage, maintain, and troubleshoot data network systems; including Brocade BigIron and FastIron switches, Cisco Switches & Routers to include 2800, 3800, 3560, 3750, 6500, 7200, 4500, Nexus 7000, Nexus 5548, Routing Protocols OSPF & BGP, Cisco Pix and ASA Firewalls, Cisco ASA IPS, Cisco ACS, SecureVue, DoD STIG's, Firewall PPS, ACAS Security Scans, CA Spectrum, General Dynamics TACLANE's, Site to Site VPN's, 802.1X, Net Flow Analysis, and IPSEC VPN's. Ability to read network diagrams, thorough understanding of the OSI model. Provide and implement recommendations on system changes and operational procedures needed to increase efficiency. The Network Manager will provide rapid detection/resolution of failures/component errors, network/system operation and maintenance, routine network software/hardware installation/replacement, network database backup/restore, audit trail and ID/password administration, evaluate new system regulations, and guidance on the planning, development and implementation of new systems and procedures for operation. Requirements Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience, PLUS a minimum of five (5) years' of relevant experience. Requires current CCNA Route & Switch, PLUS Security+ CE certification. Requires experience in TLA designs, Common Network Hierarchical designs, NIPR & SIPR network flows. Requires intermediate to advanced proficiency in Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office software suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) Requires ability to read, write and present communication/briefs efficiently to technical and non-technical customers. Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team. Security Clearance: Requires active SECRET clearance. US Citizenship is required for Secret clearance at this location.
