The role of the Network Engineer is to proactively maintain the network infrastructure to ensure high availability and efficient resolution of issues. In addition to maintaining the environment, this person will be responsible for recommending solutions based on resolution to support issues, improving resiliency in all solutions and supporting the team in delivering business critical projects. Responsibilities:The role of the Network Engineer is to proactively maintain the network infrastructure to ensure high availability and efficient resolution of issues. In addition to maintaining the environment, this person will be responsible for recommending solutions based on resolution to support issues, improving resiliency in all solutions and supporting the team in delivering business critical projects. The role requires a strong individual with a diverse range of skills. This position will be responsible for Data Security initiatives under the direct supervision of the Manager, Network Operations. The position will implement enhancements to the network security architecture and participate in new systems and technologies data security assessments, as well as, mature and standardize current implementations.Qualifications:5+ years' experience in large enterprise security planning, design, configuration, installation, troubleshooting, integration, security performance monitoring, and security product configuration enhancementsBachelor's degree in a technology-related field, or equivalent work experienceCertifications are highly preffered; such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP) or similar industry-recognized certificationExperience leading initiatives for meeting security related certification and standards (e.g., SOX, ISO 27000, PCI, etc.) including process control design and testing is desiredExperience with penetration testing and vulnerability management processesPreferred Skills: Acts as a subject matter expert regarding the implementation and capacities of existing security technologiesLead in the development, implementation, and management of security technology processes, procedures and solutions, which include Endpoint Protection, Vulnerability Management, Content Filtering, Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), and Intrusion Detection and Prevention Systems (IDPS)Experience with Networking technology and infrastructureConduct advanced log analysis; monitoring and respond to escalated security incidents.Comprehensive knowledge of next generation firewalls, Netflow protocol, remote access solutions, VPN, digital certificatesExperience working within a SOX/PCI environmentProvide risk guidance for IT products and projects, including the evaluation and recommendation of technical controls.Collaborate with Technical Operations to mitigate vulnerabilities and implement security measures.Excellent written and verbal communication skills; excellent presentation skills and the ability to present material around information security awareness, and the ability to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines
