Job Description

Force 3 is looking to expand our Support Team within our SupportPlus Practice. We are searching for a customer focused, results-driven Engineer with a passion for technology. This Engineer will be a vital contributor to a growing practice - providing Network Support expertise to our external customers. This is not your typical Network Engineer role. You will sharpen your troubleshooting skills supporting a variety of US Federal Government customers and their evolving environments. Network Support Engineer

Job Responsibilities

As a Network Support Engineer, you will report to the Director, Support Operations and be responsible for supporting and building relationships with our customers.

Your specific duties as a Network Support Engineer will include:

* Respond to new service tickets.

* Perform network troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose network problems

* Maintain records of customer interaction and actions taken from escalation to completion of a Service Ticket.

* Follow proper escalation procedures as defined by management

* Participate in root cause analysis with senior engineers for escalated service requests

* Works collaboratively with engineers to provide our customers with 100% success.

* Responsible for involving other practices when the need arises for additional layer of escalation.

* Follow through with users whose issues are not closed on initial contact, which may include additional communication to the customer, a supervisor, or other practices at Force 3.

* Assist other Force 3 team members with special projects.

Job Requirements

As a Network Support Engineer, your excellent troubleshooting and customer service skills will enable the SupportPlus Practice to build upon and exceed customer and company goals.

Specific required qualifications for the Network Support Engineer position include:

* Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a secret clearance

* At least 3 years of solid Cisco experience focused in Routing and Switching technologies

* CCNA Route/Switch certifications required

* CCNP Route/Switch required within 90 days of employment

* Must have at least 2 years of hands on experience with Cisco Core Route and Switch products

* Thorough knowledge of network analysis/management tools and techniques

* Experience in other technologies such as Wireless, Data Center and Security is a plus.

* Must be technically sound in Cisco and Cisco products and abreast of overall technology trends.

* Strong customer service experience is a must have

* US Federal government experience is a plus

* Cisco and or Cisco partner experience is a plus

* Must be a team player and build good working relationships across all functions

* Must have a strong personal drive for delivering Industry leading Customer support, and thrive in a fast-paced, high energy environment

* Hours are 8:30-5:30 with possible on call when necessary
