Primary Characteristics
Establishes new depostit and credit card accounts by reviewing new account applications; maintains customer records.

Essential Functions
1. HANDLES NEW ACCOUNT PROCESS
* Opening new deposit accounts, both domestic and World Markets; submits new credit card applications for processing; WEB enables accounts, orders checks & debit cards

2. COMMUNICATES WITH CUSTOMERS
* Courteous and responsive to all customers needs. Works with customers on phone, via e-mail or mail to obtain all information required in the new account process. Send adverse action letters when necessary

3. MAINTAINS CUSTOMER RECORDS
* Verifying customer information, researching account issues, extracting customer information from applications and entering data into various computer systems, updating account information

4. RESOLVES NEW ACCOUNT WEB AND CREDIT CARD REWARD PROBLEMS IN A TIMELY MANNER
* Listening and verifying the customer's complaint; determining the cause of the problem; selecting and explaining the best solution to solve the problem; expediting the solution; following up with the customer if needed

5. MAINTAINS BANK OPERATIONS
* Following established policies and procedures; reporting needed changes; complies with Federal, State, and Local Banking regulations

6. MAINTAINS CUSTOMER CONFIDENCE AND PROTECTS BANK OPERATIONS
* Adhering to all the rules and regulations of the Privacy Protection Act

7. CONTRIBUTES TO TEAM EFFORT
* Completing all duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)
Basic math, clerical and typing skills. Full knowledge in the use of a personal computer.

Training and Experience
One year or more of clerical experience or a minimum of 6 months working in a banking/financial environment.
