Northwestern Medicine has an exciting opportunity for a Nurse Clinician to work within our Gyne/Oncology outpatient clinic. THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE AT LEAST ONE (1) YEARS OF RN EXPERIENCE WORKING IN AN INPATIENT OR OUTPATIENT SETTING. ONCOLOGY EXPERIENCE IS PREFERRED, ALTHOUGH, MED/SURG, ICU, AND WOMENS HEALTH IS OKAY. M-F, day shift. Please note: this position is involves mostly telephone triage, symptom management, lab/tests ordering, home care set, etc.. RN is in an office space separate from the clinic where patients are, at times there is patient interaction as the nurse will do rounds with the physicians



The Nurse Clinician will work in a multidisciplinary environment which will require exceptional interpersonal skills, including the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with patients, physicians, clinical and administrative units. This position will utilize nursing skills to perform patient assessments via phone or in person and implement nursing interventions, as such the ability to use appropriate judgment, independent thinking and creativity when resolving patient care issues. Also responsible for initiating & organizing patient education for the population this unit serves. Required:
ASSOCIATE\'S DEGREE IN NURSING IS REQUIRED, BUT MUST BE WORKING TOWARDS A BACHELORS DEGREE IN NURSING.
Graduate from an accredited school of nursing required
Registered Professional Nurse licensure in the State of Illinois required
Certification in Basic CPR required
AT LEAST ONE (1) YEARS RN EXPERIENCE WORKING IN AN INPATIENT OR OUTPATIENT SETTING. ONCOLOGY EXPERIENCE IS PREFERRED, ALTHOUGH MED/SURG, ICU, AND WOMENS HEALTH IS OKAY.
