Job Summary:The Research Nurse Clinician is a nurse responsible for providing care to a select group of patients/family members participating in research studies. The Nurse Clinician facilitates the provision of optimum research health care for these patients/family members in conjunction with other health care team members. The Research Nurse Clinician collects data asspecified by the study protocol and as directed by the Principal Investigator.
Job Requirements: Education: BSN Required, prefer billingual skills in Spanish. License: Current California RN license. Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support Certificate. Experience: Two years pediatric nursing experience. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team. Ability to work independently, problem solve and prioritize demands. Knowledge of Clinical Research process and Informed Consent. Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
Physical Requirements: Sit: Up to 3 hours/day Stand/Walk: 6-8 hours Bend/Stoop: Up to 3 hours Reach: Up to 6 hours Rep Use of UE/Gasp: Up to 6 hrs Lift/Push/Pull: 25 lbs., over 25# with assistance or equipment This job requires the ability to hear alarms clients and/or instruction.
