VCU Health Systems Evans Haynes Burn Center is the oldest civilian burn center in the US and the only verified Burn Center in Virginia. It serves as a regional resource for the care of acute burns as well as the reconstructive needs of burn survivors.
The newly built center provides expert, comprehensive care to patients from intensive care, progressive care, acute care to outpatient clinic. It serves patients from pediatrics to geriatrics.
The Nurse Clinician provides educational, evidence based practice and performance improvement support for this unit.
Applicant Qualifications include the following:
Education/training REQUIRED:


Masters Degree in Nursing or a related field or within one semester of completion. If the Master s Degree is not in Nursing, then it is required to have a Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing
Education/training PREFERRED:


Master s Degree in Nursing from an accredited program

Certification in specialty area preferred
Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for Hire:


Current RN licensure in Virginia or eligible or compact state
Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for continued employment including CPR, etc.:


Current RN Licensure in Virginia

AHA BLS HCP Certification or equivalent
Level and type of experience REQUIRED:


3 years nursing experience required

Minimum of one year experience in the positions specialty patient population or practice setting
Level and type of experience PREFERRED:


Advanced Practice Nursing Role or Clinical Leadership Role Experience preferred

Experience in staff education and professional development (orientation, preceptorship, in-services education, etc.)

Academic health care experience preferred Full time 1: Days
